Paris was liberated on the 25 of august of 1944, by the combined forces of the Americians, The British, The Canadians and the FFA (The French First Army). The liberation of Paris started on the 19th of August and all germans and Vichy in the city were than killed in captured in less than 6 days. Then we procided to exile the remaining of the Vichy Regime. The Germans officially surendered the remaining garrison, after a total of 3,200 lost soliders and 12,800 captured. It all started with the Maquis after recieving orders to make a path for the allied troops to move in the city on august 15th. Attacks on Germans tripled, in the week up to the battle. After was all said and done an etimated 100 resistance fighters died in the "Battle for Paris", along with 71 FFA soliders.
